videography
During my time in school, I have had the chance to work on many video projects. I enjoy production as well as the process of editing. During holidays, I often work on short films and video projects with friends as well. Garden Getaway (2019) For our Video Production module, we produced a video on Chinese Garden. For our video, we incorporated a recurring theme of taking selfies. This was to include a fun element as it allowed us to make use of unique transitions and sound effects.
This project was the first time we had filmed outside of school thus it was a daunting but fulfilling experience. Though we met with difficulties along the way, we worked through them and learnt from our mistakes.

I Am Beauty (2020) This was a documentary we produced for a school assignment. The film follows amputee model Rosalina as she struggles to reintegrate herself not just as an amputee in the modelling industry, but also in her daily life. She strives to break the societal mould of being defined by her disability, and wants to be seen as anyone else.
This was a challenging assignment however my team worked around it and were happy with the result.

Strumming Our Heart Strings (2019) For our Documentary module, we were tasked to produce a documentary on an interesting profile. Our documentary, entitled 'Strumming Our Heartstrings' followed our profile Rai Kannu, a musician and owner of guitar shop 'G77+'.
This was an exciting experience for us as it was our first time following a subject. The assignment showed us the importance of pre planning as many sequences such as playing in front of a live audience could not be re-filmed.

TOPPLE (2019) 'Topple' revolves around a man who sacrifices his individuality for the sake of normalcy. At the end of the film, we see that any sacrifice comes with its own set of consequences. This was our submission for Point & Shoot 2019. It is a short film competition where by teams have to plan, film, edit and submit a short film within 55 hours of the release of the theme. The theme for 2019 was 'Balance'. Though we did not win a prize, the competition was a learning experience for all of us. We got to experience the process of shooting a film on a strict timeline while having to work through other difficulties as well.

This was a 'Meet Cute' I directed after my script was selected. It was a learning experience for me as I did not have much experience in directing. However, it was definitely an enjoyable process seeing a script I co-wrote come to life. You can view the full script under 'Writings'!
